University to celebrate Diversity Week

深夜福利在线免费看's annual Diversity Week is scheduled Nov. 3?7, with a variety of activities scheduled for the campus and local community. This year's theme is ?Diversity: Celebrating our Differences.?

?There is a wealth of diversity represented on the 深夜福利在线免费看 campus,? said Maggie Viverette, acting assistant to the president for Equal Opportunity Programs and Multicultural Affairs. ?Diversity Week provides an official opportunity for all members of the campus community to come together and educate each other regarding the variety of cultures that exist within the 深夜福利在线免费看 community. Education brings understanding and understanding leads to appreciation.?

The following activities have been scheduled and are open to the public free of charge:

? Sunday, Nov. 3: Edgar Dorantes? Latin Jazz Band, 3?5 p.m., Continuing Education Building Auditorium.

? Monday, Nov. 4: ?Speak Out on Racism and Sexism in Education,? 7?9 p.m., Pound Hall Auditorium (North Campus).

? Tuesday, Nov. 5: Sabor Latino Latin Dance Team, 6?7 p.m., Continuing Education Building Auditorium.

? Wednesday, Nov. 6: ?An Evening of Creative Expressions: Open Mic Night,? 5?7 p.m., University Center food court. 深夜福利在线免费看's faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate in the open forum.

? Thursday, Nov. 7: Diversity Fair, 1?4 p.m., Palms Quad. This event will feature free food, live music, along with campus and community groups and organizations presenting information.
